The 3S LiPo-compatible ARRMA® TYPHON™ 4X4 3S BLX is rugged, factory-built and ready for any terrain.

Precision aluminium, tough steel and composite materials result in a low-maintenance as well as durable design, with high-downforce, low-centre-of-gravity wings that feature wide arms and narrow wheels and tyres to enhance handling - mud pits, skate parks and more. This version of the Typhon has better features that further enhance the already impressive performance and durability of the original.

The TYPHON 4X4 is DESIGNED FAST AND HEAVY - for exhilarating speeds and extreme off-road durability.

Improved features include a stronger chassis and retained hinge pin plates. The steering has more clearance for rocks! The buggy also features a Castellated Slipper Pad as well as a sliding gear grille and rubberised bearing throughout.

The buggy comes with a Spektrum™ SLT3™ transmitter and an SLR300 receiver.

The transmitter is ergonomically designed for long and fatigue-free driving and features a foam wheel for more precise fingertip control! It also features an improved hand grip and trigger feel. New riders can set the throttle limits to 50% or 75% until they're ready to push the full speed potential. The SLT3 is compatible with Tactic® SLT™ receivers to run other RTR vehicles! It also has a third channel for controlling optional features like lights and winches!

ARRMA powers the TYPHON 4X4 with a brushless system: BLX100 ESC controller and brushless Spektrum Firma™ 3200Kv motor.

This combination offers incredible torque, acceleration and speed. The transmission and chassis are robustly designed to take full advantage of the power of the electronics - in the ARRMA tradition of DESIGNED FAST, DESIGNED TOUGH.

Modular ARRMA design:

It features a sophisticated modular design perfected by ARRMA® engineers for easy component access and maintenance. The power module with improved dirt management consists of the motor with ARRMA heat sink and fan as well as motor plate, slipping clutch assembly and gearbox cover. The power module can be removed from the housing as a complete unit by removing only one screw. Once the power module is removed, the slipping clutch can be easily accessed for adjustment by removing another three screws! The transmission ratio can be finely adjusted as the power module now uses a sliding motor grid design.

A two-piece moulding bolted to the Speed Buggy chassis serves as the electronics module and contains a waterproof receiver box, servo mount and ESC compartment. The SLR300 receiver is mounted in the receiver box to protect it from dirt and moisture. The ultra-compact controller is screwed to the top of the module and allows quick access to the on/off switch while the servo is mounted on the side. All three components can be quickly and easily removed together.

The differential module houses each differential unit in an innovative yoke design. Only eight screws need to be removed to release the front and rear yokes. The power module can then be removed, allowing you to swing the gearbox housings for differential access. The TYPHON 4X4 is brushless with 37T 1.35mod differentials with silicone O-rings. The large gears can withstand tremendous torque, and internal metal gears were selected for reliability in extreme impacts.

Great features: 

The full-time all-wheel drive gearbox uses strong telescopic drive shafts at the front, rear and centreline, which cannot be lost even during heavy impacts. A simple, reliable and responsive steering assembly complements the highly reliable drive system and features a servo horn with integrated servo saver. The TYPHON 4X4 includes the waterproof, digital Spektrum™ SPMS651 with metal gears for 15% more torque than the previous version's ADS-7M servo.

The self-bleeding and oil-filled shock absorbers (with silicone O-rings) use a proven coil-over suspension for easy maintenance and amazing handling. Their innovative rod end features a cast-in spring rod for added toughness. High chassis sides and a tight-fitting buggy body limit the amount of dirt and debris that can enter the chassis pan. Front and rear bumpers provide protection from impacts.

Rugged gunmetal-coloured multi-spoke wheels with dBoots® 2-HO™ ventilated tyres give the 1/8th scale TYPHON 4X4 Speed Buggy effective traction for beating almost any terrain. With a metallic finish and forged composite detail, it looks as good as it performs. A stylish high downforce wing keeps all four wheels planted as you explore the upper limits of its incredible speed range.
