All this to give you the 3D performance you expect from a thoroughbred aerobatic model. The new Night Timber X features factory installed & super bright LED lighting throughout the airframe so you can fly day or night. Along the way, it is equipped with a 60A Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart controller and the BNF Basic version also gives you full-range telemetry with readouts for voltage, amperage, temperature as well as thrust reversal for special ground roll maneuvers with the built-in AR637T receiver when used with a compatible remote control.

Overview:
The E-flite Timber X ushered in a new era in STOL coupled with 3D aerobatic capability. Based on the extremely popular Timber, the model offered significantly more flight options, giving you a true "from soft to wild" flying experience. In addition to the standard LED lighting, E-Flite gave the Night Timber X fully integrated LED lighting throughout the airframe so you can fly any time of day AND night.
The model features, through the 60A Spektrum Avian™ Smart controller, exclusive Smart technology and the BNF® Basic version also offers full-range telemetry with displays for voltage, amperage, temperature and more with the built-in AR637T receiver when used with a compatible remote control. It also features thrust reversal for special ground roll maneuvers.
The fiberglass-reinforced hollow-core EPO construction allows for a rugged yet lightweight airframe with the same takeoff weight as the Timber X, despite the addition of lights! This allows the model to withstand even extreme flight maneuvers, while the low wing loading allows for impressive STOL maneuvers and excellent low-speed performance. With the powerful metal gear servos and spring-loaded landing gear, this allows you to take off aggressively from almost any surface. To further improve the slow flight characteristics, E-Flite has included slats, which you can optionally install at any time. Water flight has also been thought of, as with the separately available floats you can turn night into day with the Night Timber X even on the water.

eXclusive technologies:
The Night Timber X is equipped with the exclusive Spektrum AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. This system works behind the scenes to smooth out influences like wind or turbulence, giving you high stability and precision! The optional SAFE Select technology gives you additional attitude limiting with automatic return to neutral and can be turned on and off at the touch of a button. If you don't want to use the SAFE features at all, just bind the receiver in the conventional way to activate the AS3X only.
eXclusive Smart Electronics:
The Night Timber X is equipped with the exclusive Spektrum Avian™ Smart controller. The controller enables in-flight transmission of real-time data on relevant data such as engine speed, current, battery voltage and more when using a compatible receiver and remotes that feature Spektrum AirWare™.
eXtreme Maneuverability:
Compared to the original Timber, the Timber X features a shortened wingspan and significantly larger control surfaces. Symmetrically sloped hinge surfaces allow extreme deflections of the control surfaces, including the flaps, for excellent maneuverability at all speeds. Compartments for trim weights in the fuselage and a steel tube for the elevator linkage simplify CG adjustment for a perfectly balanced model and even more aggressive 3D flight performance.
eXtra Power:
The factory-installed brushless drivetrain features a Spektrum Avian™ Smart 60A controller and specially tuned motor and propeller to deliver sufficient thrust at 3S power and vertical climb when using a 4S flight battery, with no special modifications or upgrades needed.
eXtremely Rugged:
The fiberglass-reinforced hollow-core EPO construction allows for not only an eXtremely lightweight airframe, but also an eXtremely robust one, providing the same takeoff weight despite the addition of lights! With the powerful metal gear servos and the, taken from the original, sprung landing gear with the oversized Tundra wheels, you can thus take off aggressively from almost any surface.
Bind-N-Fly® Advantages:
Do you already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? BNF aircraft allow you to get in the air faster than ever before. They come with the propulsion system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4 GHz receiver installed. So all you have to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, complete the final assembly and you're ready to fly! This Bind-N-Fly Basic model is equipped with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver with AS3X® technology, which works behind the scenes to compensate for the effects of wind and turbulence, giving you a flying sensation of stability and precision.
If this is your first model of this type, or you need additional safety margins to familiarize yourself with the aircraft, you can activate the optional SAFE® Select stabilization technology built into the receiver. No programming is required. Simply change the binding procedure as indicated in the manual.
When SAFE Select is enabled, you get:

- Simple switch assignment - no programming required.
